IT LOOKS LIKE A DEMON/KRUSER YEAR

By Ken Wagner
March 25, 2006

Five races so far this season in USAC/CRA and several things stand out. First I have made only one race and Mrs Wags but two. Damion Gardner has had fast time all five races with two seconds and two wins in a row. Cory Kruseman is obviously putting on a full court press after the Demon and this two man show should last all year. Mike Spencer, Rip Williams, Tony Jones, Charles Davis Jr, Danny Sheridan and Rickie Gaunt seem to be the other challengers on the move early in this season.

I hear the racing has been good and should get my own chance to view it all this coming Saturday. We have completed the move to Las Vegas to the retirement home we bought in 2004 for just this occasion. The last two weeks were spent with me packing every little pack rat item we have accumulated over nearly 17 years in what was my favorite home I ever lived in. Thursday of last week, the moving van showed up and the "Don and Paul" show loaded all our worldly goods and headed for Vegas. Not me, as the old homestead had to be cleaned and what "stuff" was left over loaded in Mrs Wags van and "my" little red sucker for the trip to our new home.

Friday included the last cleaning and getting the carpets shampooed before I joined Terry at here work for a goodbye cake celebration. We hit the Friday night freeway rush at 4 pm and six hours later our two car caravan arrived "home". Don and Paul opened the doors on the trailer in front at 6:15 Am Saturday and the boxes and furniture rolled out and into our place. They were done by noon and so was I. Too pooped to drive the 3 hours to Perris, I was remiss in missing another race, but such is life. Now I have to find a job and act like someone for a while.

So, beginning next week I will be back with Mrs Wags taking her pics and me drumming up Wagsbucks for the racers. Won't you join us in making this season the best one yet? Get involved with the Wagtimes and help us help the racers..
