Steve is recognized as the greatest sprint car driver of all time with more wins than anyone. He was very special. He didn't run wingless much after 1979, but still won 5 CRA victories including the 1983 Peobody Classic and the 1990 CRA May tour race at Eldora that payed a $10,000 bonus for beating the CRA.
