The day opens in the pits as we rolled in with big rain clouds all around. Jerry Welton is already unloaded.

Didn't I tell you? Danny Sheridan's car looks like it is going to be wet soon, and it was as we got just a little sprinkle.

Looking South it's a little clearer over the top of the big black Jack Jory hauler.

Rippers car sits in the cool waiting to go. The white hauler behind there is Bryan CLauson's, so he's not one of the high rollers.

Dennis Howell's # 62 looks the same, but there is a 410 nestled under the hood. He had fun getting use to the extra power, but the night ended early when he tagged the wall.

Where's the number. At this time it was with the driver who was on his way to the track.

Damion Gardner's rig is setting under the boiling sky. Is that a funnel forming over there?

The little blue bugger is just waiting.

Oops, is that wet stuff rain???? Yes it was, but it went away for another day.

Cory Kruseman ran 8th.

Garrett Hansen's crew goes to work. Garrett was 4th after a battle with the Demon.

This box says "the hot setup" on the side. It is plugged into the motor to get it warm. I can see it in this cool weather, but they use the device even in the heat of summer as it gets the oil mixed and makes firing up easier with less wear and tear on the motor.

Tony Jones Silver Bullet car has mufflers that exhaust forward. Most mufflers point towards the rear. It might be a Spintech.

Charles Davis Jr comes out of the cockpit of David Miller's car. He didn't have much luck in the main.

The pill draw line.

Jerry Welton's spot is next to Steve Howard's So Cal trailer. Handy for new parts purchases.

Jake Argo gets around the pits. He was scheduled to drive the Argo family Ford the next day at Victorville for his first time driving ever.

The before and after of the new top cover. It's a polka dot thing! Thanks Ray Stansberry!!!!

Doug Allen, Mrs Wags and Ronnie Everhart visit a bit.

These guys are very important at our racing events, and they need to be highly trained. Here they take some instruction from Ron Shipley III (middle front) as he is a long time Fireman/EMT from the Ascot days. In the bottom pic they are from the left to right: David Batten, Ryan Amendt, Jeremy Stuck, Ron Shipley III and Keith Fishell.

The clouds are on the south end of the track now.

That's Matt Mitchell on the left who got a chance to drive his old car that he sold to Ed McWilliams. And you thought I was shooting the blond? Shame on you! She's cute.

Laurie Sertich is smiling as the Moosemobile looks ready to rock and roll. I think 5th is the best they have ever done in Championship points.

Big Mark Spivey pats the # 66 on the fuel cell? No, I think he might be wiping it down.

Part of the Alexander crew hangs out in their pit.

And now presenting the race car of Mike Spencer which has taken him to his 2nd championship in a row. It was the 11th championship for Ron Chaffin and 15th for crew chief Bruce Bromme Jr. What a record for all three and their crew!

This sign speaks for itself.

Mark Priestley's crew and car ready to race.

The Kittle Krew look ready. In the insert on the right, Jimbo is fighting the camera and ducks down behind Chad while Chad is trying to negate that. I still got him!

Nic Faas had a good night, winning the 3 lap trophy dash and running 9th in the main. It looks like he will be running locally next year.

Ludwig Solberg IV won his heat and ran 16th this week for a good night.

Marcie Spivey has little Matthew in the grandstands watching as usual while father Mark is down working on the # 66 car.

Dennis Howell

Jimmy Crawford, Dennis Howell and Tony Jones circle the track.

The observation deck atop the David Cardey rig.

On the Josh Ford rig.

The Gardner rig. Notice how warm they are all dressed. It's a tad cool.

Blake Miller

Jonny Bates

A heat takes off with Ludwig taking the lead!!!!

Danny Sheridan and a Williams car lining up.

Another heat on the move

The last heat was won by Brent Camarillo.

It's Amy returning for a night of racing.
